The Action Reaction engine’s inventor,
Anthony (Tony) Wondergem was born in Holland, qualifying
as a marine engineer with Honours. Tony worked for the
Dutch Merchant Marine for several years and emigrated
to New Zealand in 1952.
Tony was employed as a garage mechanic for several
years, with the Auckland Regional Authority (ARA), which operates
the largest fleet of diesel buses in New Zealand. During his
33 years with this company, he was promoted to management
and was responsible for over 40 staff members.
On his retirement from the ARA, Tony and his
wife, Val moved to Queensland, Australia, where they currently
reside.
Tony is a prolific inventor and has several
other projects under development, including an emergency braking
system, an innovative gear box, a revolutionary wind-turbine
and his own effective water-harnessing turbine useful in both
tidal and fresh water applications.
Tony’s extensive 30-year interest in internal
combustion engines resulted in the concept of the AR engine.
The AR III prototype is the product of several years comprehensive
research and development by a successful partnership between
Dutch intellect and Kiwi ingenuity.
Tony’s original concept is now proven
in principle and although there is more development to be
done we are satisfied that this innovative engine technology
is a large step forward in engine performance for the 21st
Century.
